Idioms 

Piece of Cake' is used to describe something that is very easy to complete.

 Example:  She said the test would be difficult, but it was piece of cake.

kill two birds with one stone  is used when we solve two problems with one single action.

Example: I read the newspaaper while sipping my morning cup of coffee, I kill two birds  with one stone.

In the long run 
far away in the future.

Example: To make this project successful in the long run, they will need more partners. 

Can’t judge a book  it’s Cover. 
you cannot know what someone or something is like just by looking the person or thing’s appearance.

Example: that man may look very small and insignificant, but don’t judge a book by it’s cover.he’s  a very powerful  man in his circule.

Cry over split milk.
to be upset about things that have already been done. 

Example: Raul  was unable to accept the reality of his  divorce. He was crying over spilled milk. 

Taste your own medicine 
 when someone gets the same bad treatment that he has been giving others.

Example: If  he does not change his behavior by reasoning, he's going to get a taste of his own medicine.

Whole nine yards

Example: It was an adventurous tour, but we didn’t go the whole nine yards. 

Up to someone
Decided  by someone.

Example: it's up to you if you want to stay or leave.

Call it a day 
Stop doing something, especially working.

Example:  I’m getting  a bit tired now let’s call it a day.

Safe bet: means something that will probably happen.

Example: It’s  a safe bet  that smartphones will be much more avanced in 5 years.

State of the art:  is state  of the art is modern and technologically avanced.

Example:  we have a brand new, state of the art facility.

On the ball : means to be alert and aware things.

Example:  if someone is on the ball, they  are very alert  and aware of what is happening.

Win- win situation  is situation  where everyone  involved gains something.

Example:  we were happy  to get  the contract, and they were hapoy  to get such  a good price. It was a win – win situation.

Blessing  at disguise
something that is bad at first, but later results in something good.

Example: 
Losing that job turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him as it forced him to plunge into business.

cost an arm and a leg 
Very expensive.
Example: This dress is really nice, but it cost me an arm and a leg. 

Out of the blue
something that happens without anyone having prior knowledge of it. 

Example: Junior running away from home was out of the blue.
